Who We Are & What We Do

Hello, I'm Miranda, the founder of Atara. While pursuing my bachelors degree in criminal justice I began noticing the lack of support for young adults.

I was motivated to start Atara in my home town because I truly believe it could use the support of a place for teens to go. A place that could give teens the opportunity to be themselves and to start finding what their purpose in life is. I grew up in Franklin and when I was a teen I didn't always make the smartest decisions and that was due to lack of stability at times. I want to be able to provide a space where teens can escape and not have to worry about things that teenagers shouldn't have to worry about. I want to be able to provide services that can help them achieve their goals, like art/ music areas, job assistance, college assistance, volunteer opportunities, mental health advocacy and so much more.

Mission

Our mission is to aspire teens to dream of new goals. Be authentic in all that we teach our youth. As well as being full of ambition and teaching it to our teens to create leaders of tomorrow.
